OGLALA — Anna Mae Summer Brave Heart “Wanblupa Win”, 32, made her journey to the Spirit World on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 near Pine Ridge.

Anna Mae Summer Brave Heart was born on August 8, 1985 in St. Louis, Miss. to Dewey R. Brave Heart, Sr. and June (Roach) Brave Heart.

Anna is survived by her mother, June Brave Heart of Oglala; husband, Aloysius Big Crow Sr. of Pine Ridge; children, Jeremiah James Brave Heart, Aloysius Lloyd Big Crow Jr., Cameron Paul Big Crow and Randall Jean Brave Heart, all of Pine Ridge; siblings, Kerry Brave Heart of Calico, Medina Matonis of Iron Lighting, Devona Brave Heart of Rapid City,, Ann Foster of Durango, Colo., Dewey Brave Heart Jr. of Oglala, He Hlogeca Brave Heart of Anadarko, Okla., Wakinyan Ska Win Brave Heart of Oglala, Hetehila Brave Heart of Bapchule, Ariz., Ida Brave Heart of Andrews, Texas, Andrea Brave Heart of Kayenta, Ariz. and Erin Brave Heart of Pine Ridge; brother and sister-in-laws, Troy, Stacy, Melinda, Alley, Ashley, Chuck and Marissa Morrison, all of Pine Ridge.

Anna was preceded in death by her father, Dewey Brave Heart, Sr.; father-in-law, Aloysius Morrison; mother-in-law, Noella Big Crow; sisters, Sandra Rose and Raynae Brave Heart; brother-in-law, Benjamin “BJ” Big Crow; grandparents, Andrew Brave Heart, Ida Black Elk, Anthony Roach and Lydia Hollow Horn; uncles, Orlando Roach, Sylvester Brave Heart, Bernard Blacksmith, Melvin Blacksmith, Randy Roach and Raymond Roach Sr.; and aunts, Isabelle and Antoinette Roach.

A one night wake service started on Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala with Minister Robbie Dyer officiating. Traditional Lakota services were held with Mr. Ivis Long Visitor. Burial was at the Lone Elk-Brave Heart Family Cemetery.
