PINE RIDGE — Nathaniel Shane Ten Fingers-Tabacco, 27, made his journey to the Spirit World on Friday, January 26, 2018 in Rapid City.

Nathaniel Shane Ten Fingers- Tobacco was born on January 29, 1990 in Pine Ridge to Manuel Tobacco, Sr. and Pasquerita (Ten Fingers) Tobacco.

Nathaniel is survived by his children, Natayshia, Nathaniel, Jr., and Billy Ten Fingers, all of Calico Community, near Pine Ridge; mother, Pasquerita (Ten Fingers) Tobacco of Rapid City; brothers, Manuel Tobacco, Jr. and Daniel Tobacco, both of Rapid City; sisters, Duwanna B. Left Hand Bull and Shayera B. Haskell, both of Rapid City; grandfathers, Ted Ten Fingers of Rapid City and Denver American Horse of Calico Community, near Pine Ridge; hunka mother, Faye Hard Heart of Calico Community, near Pine Ridge; uncles, Brennon Ten Fingers of Wounded Knee, Monte Goings of Fort Totten, N.D. and Casey Romero, Sr. of Calico Community, near Pine Ridge; aunties, Frenchee Tobacco of Calico Community, near Pine Ridge, Romaine Tobacco, Germaine Tobacco and Violet Waters, all of Pine Ridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nathaniel was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Tobacco, Sr.; baby brother, Dennis Tobacco; grandmothers, Suzanne American Horse and Dorothy Ten Fingers-Waters; grandfather, Vincent “Roger” Tobacco, Jr.; great-grandfather, Albert American Horse, Sr.; aunties, Joann Two Dogs, Juanita Two Dogs and Veda Waters; and uncle, Jon Two Dogs.

A two night wake service started on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Wakpamni CAP Office in Pine Ridge. Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Wakpamni CAP Office in Pine Ridge. Burial was at the Advent Episcopal Cemetery in Calico Community, Pine Ridge.
