Cecily Trimble

RAPID CITY — Cecily Trimble, 57, made her journey to the Spirit World on February 3, 2018 at her home in Rapid City.

Cecily Trimble was born on May 26, 1960 in Coeur d’alene, Idaho to Albert W. Trimble and Mary Ann (Richards) Trimble.

She spent her early childhood in Spokane, Wash., La Puente, Calif., Rocky Boy Mont., and Falls Church, Va. Most of her adult life was spent in the San Francisco Bay Area but returned to South Dakota on a couple of occasions.

Cecily graduated from high school at the Institute of American Indian Arts at Santa Fe, N.M. She attended the San Francisco Art Institute seeking a fine arts degree in photography.

Cecily is survived by her siblings, Mary Trimble-Norris of Concord, Calif., Rosalie Trimble and John G. Trimble, both of Rapid City and Robin Potter of Minneapolis, M.N.; nephews, Richard R. Trimble of Spanaway, Wash., John T. Trimble, Warren D. Means, and Dennis E. Means all of Rapid City, and Devon Wilson of Arkansas, Albert Trimble of Mission and Paul, Michael and Matthew Plume, all of Manderson; nieces, Lindsey and Lucy Red Owl, Leona Means, Autumn Means, Caitlin Means, Maryn Fish and Amy Sazue, all of Rapid City, Mary Ann Means-Bryant of Spanaway, Wash., Emma Shay Norris of Concord, Calif., Francis Trimble of San Diego, Calif., Emma Eagle Heart of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Sarah Eagle Heart of Los Angeles, CA, Myene Trimble Yanu of Boston, Mass., Anne Trimble of Omaha, Neb. and Angelica Trimble-Yanu of Portland, Oreg.; aunts, Della Richards of Rapid City and Myrna Zephier of Minneapolis, Minn.; and cousins, Emma “Pinky” Clifford and David “Tally” Plume, both of Manderson, Rosemarie Dillingham of Wounded Knee, Roger Cornelius, Richard Richards, and Jean Marie Richards, all of Rapid City, Charles Trimble, Leonita Lasley and James Lasley, all of Omaha, Neb., and Linda Johnson and Kaiti Trimble-Fenz, both of Denver, Colo..

Cecily was preceded in death by her parents, Albert W. and Mary Ann Trimble; and siblings, Albert W. Trimble, Jr., Francis Richard Trimble, Thomas Joseph Trimble and Tracy Christine Trimble.

Visitation and Memorial services for Cecily were held on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the St. Issac Jogues Catholic Church in Rapid City, with Father Ed Witt, S.J. officiating.
